Bambini International Montessori School
Bambini Academia / After School
Bambini International Montessori School
We are a Montessori based Early Learning Center for children aged 2-6 years of age. We strongly believe that children learn best when a curriculum is used as a guideline to differentiate the delivery according to individual needs of a child. At Bambini, every child’s uniqueness and individual pace is highly valued. This means that no child is left behind and that no child should wait for their peers to catch up. Physical development through outdoor play, gardening and appreciation of nature, balances our students' development as a whole child. We aim to provide as many authentic experiences as we can to enhance their learning opportunities. Our program is enriched with field trips and appropriate specialists programs to cater to this need.
We offer programs for two age groups; Dragons and Knights.
Dragons is a class for students who are 2-3 years by August 31st. In Dragons class we will keep a 1:3 teacher:student ratio.
With Montessori method the children will be encouraged to inquire into their environment to learn through hands on experiences with carefully chosen activities in a prepared environment by the teachers.
In Knights Class, concepts are taught with the aid of Montessori Method and materials. However, we will use the Lucy Calkins Writing and Phonics programs, which are being used in many of the international schools around the world, to develop their writing skills as they grow older. This will provide a seamless transition as they enter into main international schools in Tokyo.
A field trip is planned for every theme they will be inquiring into. When the learning is connected with authentic experiences, they leave a lasting effect in their memory.

We aim to provide a learning environment that is rich with experiences to grow and foster love of learning. With a very small teacher:student ratio, we strive to give the best possible individual care and attention to your child that no other early learning environment in Tokyo can provide.
Our teachers are qualified as teachers with Bachelors in Education and trained in Montessori. Above all, they are warm and loving caregivers/educators which we value the most in our school.
Considering the reality of the non Montessori elementary school options available, we will also put a strong emphasis on academics as they approach the graduating age. We will support not only your child but also your family to the best of our ability to enter an international school, after graduating from our kindergarten.

If your child has allergies, please make sure that he or she always brings his or her own allergy medication to school in case of an emergency. We are happy to keep your child’s emergency medication for allergies at school, but Bambini will not provide or administer medication of any kind (unless in an emergency) to its students.
If your child contracts a contagious disease, please contact Bambini. Our policy regarding the required number of sick days a student must take depends on what kind of disease they have. We will proceed on a case-by-case basis from there.
